2012 Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

This year's visit to the Pumpkin Patch featured some very special guests- Mommom and Papa Dave!  We went down to Heiser Farms, in Dayton Oregon, again and had a another fun filled day of train rides, fire engine rides, tractor exploration, and farm animals, and pumpkin picking.  Sive LOVED the baby pigs and the tractors and he proved himself to be an excellent pumpkin picker as well.  Similar to last year's trip, I was able to get some amazing pictures of my handsome little man.  I just can't get over how big he is getting.  Every day is surprises me with his humor, intellect, and good looks.  Truly, we are so very lucky to be raising this great little boy!!

"Seedattle"

A few weeks ago my mom and step dad came to the NW for a much needed visit.  We all spent a few days exploring Seattle, which Sive affectionately called "seedattle," and then headed back to Portland for a few more days.  We rented a great little condo with a beautiful view of the Space Needle in Belltown and enjoyed great food, walks through the Olympic Sculpture Park, the aquarium, and then a ride up to the top of the Needle.  Super fun time.  We definitely need to spend more time in our neighbor city.

Belated Birthday Post!!

Oh My Goodness- I feel like a terrible mom.  How could I not post some photos to celebrate Sive's second birthday??!! Well, it was only 6 months ago! Anyway, while in Pennsylvania in early April, my mom had a great party for him there (pictures from that party were posted earlier).  Then back in Portland we celebrated with Sive's first trip to Mt. Hood for a try at snowboarding (!!!- perfect "blue bird" day as Michael would say) followed by a guitar cake with our neighbors.  And then Sive got an awesome new scoot bike from Poppy and Mama- thanks guys!

Spring and Summer 2012 highlights

The spring and summer months seemed to just fly by.  We were super busy with a giant gardening project, construction of a play structure, a few little trips and visitors, and then Sive's surgery.  Somehow those few things took over and I neglected to blog a single photo.  So here are a few of my favorites to remember our, now passing, months of sunshine!
